Best Accomplishments

Lately on The DSD Dog Blog there has been lots of talk about what not to do when training dogs, who is wrong and why, etc. This kind of discourse can be useful, but often simply deteriorates into ugliness and intolerance. I’d like to step away from that for a moment to focus on the good stuff in dog training by asking our readers:

What dog training/behavior accomplishment are you most proud of in you and your dog? What is your proudest moment and/or best achievement? How did you get there?

Your answer need not be related to formal competition (though I hope some are) it can be any moment where your dog made you proud in regards to something the two of you’d been training, i.e. socialization, coping with a situation, mastering that difficult trick, not biting the creepy man, winning 1st place, etc.

How does your dog make you proud? How has training enhanced your lives together? Share your best with us and take a moment to celebrate your achievements.

Please don’t leave me hanging here… and once I get a few responses I’ll post some of my happy moments too.

*Note: for some reason we've lost formating on the blog portion of this site, sorry the post is one big paragraph! Working to get this fixed.
